The Art & Mouvement Vermont Academy is a place dedicated to practice, respect, and sharing around movement, martial arts, and well-being.
This Charter outlines the values and rules applicable to all AMV students and members, ensuring a safe, respectful, and balanced environment.
Respect: towards oneself, instructors, students, staff, the facilities, and the neighborhood.
Discipline: rigor, punctuality, and commitment to practice.
Balance: harmonious coexistence between the Academy’s various disciplines and activities.
Transmission: openness, learning, and sharing.
Authenticity: clear, honest, and respectful communication.
Kindness: care for oneself and others, with a constructive attitude in times of difficulty.
Arrive on time, respect class schedules, and do not occupy spaces beyond the reserved time slot. Respect instructors, students, staff, and other users. Wear appropriate and clean attire; maintain impeccable hygiene. Use equipment properly and return it after use. Contribute to a respectful and constructive atmosphere within the Academy.
Photos/videos may be taken during classes and events. Any member may request their removal from the Academy’s communication platforms by contacting the management.
Dojo: only with clean, disinfected bare feet.
Fitness area: towel required. Clean machines and accessories after use with the provided materials.
Shoes: street shoes must be left at the entrance.
Common areas: keep noise levels moderate in reception and circulation areas.
Entering under the influence of alcohol or substances. Eating inside the Academy. Verbal or physical violence, disrespectful behavior, or anything harming the Academy’s image. Bringing in external persons without authorization. Smoking inside the Academy or in front of its windows, doors, and adjoining walkways. Filming or photographing without prior approval. Leaving spaces dirty, cluttered, or not put back in order.
The Client trains under their own responsibility and must have personal accident insurance coverage.
AMV declines all liability for bodily, material, or immaterial damages, except in cases of gross negligence. AMV also disclaims responsibility for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings.
Any violation of the Charter may result in:
A warning, temporary suspension, or permanent exclusion, without any right to reimbursement.
In cases of willful damage or serious breaches, the Academy reserves the right to take additional measures.
